PRESS RELEASE - 7 MAY 10
Reading RSPB will be giving it's support to research currently being undertaken by postgraduate researchers at the University of Reading working on the effects of feeding birds in urban gardens. Much of this work will take place in the gardens of volunteers across Reading and they are looking for volunteers to assist.
The first part of this research is a long-term survey in which people record the amount and type of bird food that they put out in their gardens, and the second is a smaller experiment that will take place in people's gardens to find out what effect bird feeding has on the number of insects on garden plants.
